My work in the Qaidam Basin, China, involves the sedimentology and stratigraphy of Late Miocene – Quaternary strata that have been recently uplifted and exposed.  My collaborators and I are using magnetostratigraphy combined with O and C isotopic data to infer climate and tectonic forcing of lake levels.
